With the introduction of the Matrix Reseller brand, Vortech Hosting now provides one of the most popular reseller programs the industry has to offer. Following is a little Q&A between ResellerConnection.com and the folks at Vortech/Matrix.
ResellerConnection.com:First, please introduce ResellerConnection.com readers to your company's two brands, Vortech and Matrix Hosting. Why two brands, and how do they differ?
Vortech Hosting: Vortech Inc. (www.vortechhosting.com) has always been the foundation from which we've built our other brands. Vortech Inc. was built on small virtual plans geared toward the beginning Webmaster or start-up E-business. With the growing demand for reseller plans in the last year or so, it seemed only logical to keep these types of services separate. This has enabled us to reach a new client base without alienating or confusing our older virtual customers. Two brands, two completely different types of hosting services for two vastly different types of clients.
ResellerConnection.com:How long have you been in business, and why did you choose to develop a brand specifically targeted to the web hosting reseller niche?
Vortech Inc. has been in business for almost 3 years. In our first year as a company we started offering reseller solutions with varying degrees of success. At that time more and more clients and potential clients were inquiring about multiple domain hosting or simply reselling our current Vortech plans at a markup price. Although this seemed feasible, a platform didn't exist at that time that would enable us to manage these types of plans on the scale and service level from which we were accustomed to on our current virtual accounts.
It wasn't until the 4th quarter of 2001 when we were experimenting with the H-Sphere system that we finally felt we were on the verge of being able to offer a reseller solution that met the high expectations and reliability of the shared Vortech plans. Developing the Matrix brand was simply an extension of our discovery. Why not create a "reseller only" brand to fill the growing demand for these types of accounts? Already being an established virtual host, the Matrix brand represents the evolution and advancement of the reseller community and what we as a provider can offer without compromising our original Vortech client base.
