Convergence of Affordable Web Hosting and Reseller Web Hosting
Increasingly in the industry we are seeing the convergence of the affordable linux hosting market and the reseller hosting market. Small hosting companies will always be the backbone of the Reseller hosting industry but increasingly web developers, webmasters, etc. who run several websites and traditionally had to use a full Reseller Hosting plan if they wanted to manage all of their websites under one roof, are now turning to the new Multi-Domain account being offered by the Budget Web Hosting companies.
With the Budget web hosting companies now routinely offering these mega plans with upwards of 2 gigs of storage and 20 gigs of bandwidth, they have also started offering these plans as “multi-domain” and allow you to host usually up to 6 or so websites. This is a perfect alternative for the web designer. They can save the cost of a full blown Reseller plan and the extra features like Private Label nameservers that they really don’t need. It is an excellent way to save money and still centrally manage your network of websites and at a fraction of the price.
The Reseller web hosting industry will always have it’s base as small hosting companies, but they used to really on the webmasters and programmers to fuel additional growth. It looks like that extra growth is headed to the budget providers.
