LFC Hosting's Reseller Package works by allowing you to subdivide all of the features included with our reseller plan - web space, e-mail accounts, FTP accounts, ODBC DSNs, etc. - among all of your reseller clients however you like. You can provide all of your resold customers with MS FrontPage® and FTP access only to their subdivision of your account. By reselling web space, you are able to provide the many back-end features (SSL, database support, Cold Fusion and FrontPage support) to your clients at no cost to you; it would simply not be feasible to offer all of these services if you were to run a small stand-alone hosting network yourself.

Robert Sauchyn: Resellers have the advantage of not having to worry about administering the network and incurring the overhead of doing so, allowing them to focus on providing the best possible rates and customer service to their clients. As a result, resellers are meeting the emerging need for personalized service in the hosting industry. As well, resellers often have the loyalty of their local community and typically the client base of a secondary business, development, marketing, etc. Loyalty is hard to come by in web hosting. I for see a bright future for the reselling industry, particularly as the tools for the reseller continue to improve.
LFC is constantly working to improve our reseller offerings above all. Over the last few months alone we have implemented a variety of improvements to our reseller hosting service, including various improvements to our control panel, anonymous WebMail, multiple aliased nameserver options, etc. We are currently in the process of developing the LFC Control Panel v.3. The flagship feature of this new release will be the most sophisticated and customizable reseller control panel on the market, allowing the resold client the complete flexibility of the reseller. The reseller will be able to control exactly what features the resold client has access to, make the reseller control panel look exactly like their own website, give the resold client access to anonymous help information, and set a whole suite of limits on domains, POP3s, DSNs, databases, FTPs, etc.
ResellerConnection.com: Tell us about your NOC in Saskatchewan, Canada. What sort of capabilities and enhancements can LFC resellers expect from this facility?
Robert Sauchyn: The government of Saskatchewan has built one of the most high-tech IT facilities in the country, that in which LFC resides. This facility has made it possible for LFC obtain dedicated cooling, nature gas generators, and all of the other services required by a typical data center at a low cost. Not only does this allow us to host our own network on-site but keep our costs low and also offer colocation as part of our suite of services.
