ResellerConnection.com: Now a major player in the hosting space with a state-of-the-art network operating center, LFC Hosting began as a simple reseller in the late nineties. How does that reselling experience contribute to LFC's current expertise in serving its own resellers?
When LFC started as a reseller, we tried wide variety of hosting services. In doing so, we found a number of re-occurring shortcomings of the services that were around at the time, many of which are still common today, particularly in the support and reliability departments. On the other hand, we were exposed to number of good ideas that were later applied to our own service. Most importantly, however, our small initial staff at the time was closely involved with the inner workings of many larger hosting services, part of the reason for our well-rounded approach to hosting.
With this knowledge, we set out of develop our own data center and suite of services in 1998. Our initial plan was compiled of the positive aspects of other services along with our unique business-oriented approach to web hosting which was developed to target the shortcomings of other hosts. This plan has carried our company to where we are today.
