Can you tell us a little about your background and how that contributes to your success?

I am an engineer turned computer professional with a rich experience in computer programming and system administration. I've been Project Engineer on Multi-million dollar Oil refinery projects, CEO of a company providing Differential Global Positioning Services for seismic survey vessels, have designed and supervised a multi-million dollar data acqusition project, have set up a market for data storage products for a fortune 500 company in India and have been involved in sales and marketing for many multi-million dollar companies. I believe the experience I have (in various diverse industry fields) helps me keep JodoHost one-step ahead of the competition in this ever changing industry.

What is the single most challenging aspect of running a successful hosting web business?

Keeping Customers happy.

What is the one thing that keeps you up at night, and what is the one thing that makes you jump out of bed in the morning?

1) Working on an emergency server/network situation, helping the staff with the situation. 2) A very good day of sales.

You offer a full range of hosting services from shared hosting to reseller packages. What sector is the fastest growing part of your business?

Currently, Windows Shared hosting is our largest and fastest growing segment.

As a follow-up, which segment do you see having the largest growth potential in the future?

We see our largest growth potential in the reseller market in the coming years.

Unlike a lot of hosting companies who only offer Linux plans you also offer Windows and Cold Fusion hosting. How much of your business do these plans account for?

As I mentioned, windows hosting (cold fusion a part of it) makes up the largest part of JodoHost's business and revenue. We offer low-cost hosting solutions in this segment supporting features such as SQL Server, Cold Fusion MX, Oracle 10g and ASP.NET which makes us attractive to developers and small businesses (who drive the majority of our growth). Although linux has fallen behind, linux services are still popular with us. We are now offering Oracle 10g database solutions off Linux servers and we are continuing to search for features to make us more attractive in this segment.

Tell us more about your Reseller plans?

Our reseller plans are focused around businesses looking to enter the webhosting industry and offer a wide-range of quality webhosting solutions. Our solutions are completely brandable and allow customers to sell hosting off 3 platforms - Windows 2003, Linux and VPS (Virtual Private Servers). We offer all the features you'd find with an average reseller service provider along with some specials including Microsoft SQL Server, ASP.NET, Cold Fusion MX and Oracle 10g. We believe these services allow resellers to add much more value to their hosting services, allowing them to grow faster and not be involved in price-wars over disk space and bandwidth. We also offer transition and management services for our resellers once they reach the stage where they are able to afford servers.

How would you describe the working atmosphere at JodoHost and how does it contribute to your success?

The Web hosting Industry requires continuously learning and working under pressure. JodoHost works as a team. I personally am working with the team to ensure its flexible, takes responsibilities, shares experience and keeps learning. Our support center is equipped for continuous 24x7x365 operation without interruption. Our facility is directly connection via multiple internet backbones. We have a standby backup generator as well as UPS (uninterrupted power supply) to ensure that our support and technical staff are always online working on server and customer issues around the clock.

In the competitive business of web hosting how do you distinguish yourself from the competition?

JodoHost has a highly skilled and experienced team of server administrators and professionals (working 24x7x365) that make up our technical and customer support team. Our senior-most administrators hold the highest levels of certification and have been in the webhosting industry for over 5 years. To top that, we are in the continuous pursuit for new features and services (recently we added Oracle 10g) that would keep us one-step ahead of the competition.

I noticed that you outsource your support services. Has this worked well for you and in what ways has it benefited your business?

That is a common misconception with us. We are fast-growing IT company wholly based in New Delhi (India) where our support and sales operations take place. We however have our servers located in Miami, Florida. Our entire staff is in-house, which gives us an edge over other hosting companies. We have plans to open offices in the United States by the mid of next year in order to have a local presence for our US customers.
