ResellerConnection.com recently had the opportunity to interview Dialtone Internet CEO Alvaro Albarracin regarding the company's reseller offerings and its aggressive expansion abroad.
ResellerConnection.com: Dialtone Internet offers three types of partnership opportunities: Wholesale, Channel, and Affiliate. Can you briefly describe each of these programs and what type of individual or company each is best suited for?
Alvaro Albarracin: Dialtone's Wholesale 4 Success program is designed for companies specializing in Web hosting and dedicated hosting solutions, companies offering their customers level one technical support and billing. The Wholesale program is our largest, and includes an exclusive, password protected, secure website with sales tools, articles, special offers and additional information for the wholesalers.
The Channel program targets Web developers, Web designers, System Integrators and other professionals who complement their product/services line with our servers without offering technical support. This program is customized for each partner individually. Dialtone provides server management and support, and the Channel partner provides the customer contact.
Finally, our Affiliate program is the most hands-off of the three. Working together with Commission Junction (C.J.) we offer website owners the opportunity to make additional revenues by posting our banners on their site. The site owner markets our servers through Commission Junction ads and links, and receives a compensation for each server sold through his site.
ResellerConnection.com: You also offer innovative "ISP Hosting" solutions. Can you describe what these are and who they are aimed at?
Our ISP Hosting solutions provide advanced web hosting solutions, and consist of three product lines, Sphera AutoHost (with Sphera HostingDirector 3.22), Windows AutoHost (Hosting Controller), and Sun's Cobalt RaQs. Each one has its own unique properties. The Sphera AutoHost server is the most advanced, with Virtual Dedicated Server technology, over 40 bundled applications (ValueApps), and several graphical user interfaces for ease of use. Windows AutoHost has a control panel for managing MS Windows based servers, and is ideal for people interested in using Microsoft hosting technology. The Cobalt RaQ allows newcomers to hosting to host up to 200 sites on a single server, with its own interface, and is based on Linux.
